Shreveport-Bossier Unwraps “Holidays on the Red” and Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights to Highlight the Holiday Season

 

Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana – Today, Visit Shreveport-Bossier rings in the holiday season for Shreveport-Bossier, announcing two major regional celebrations: Holidays on the Red and the Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights. Together, these series of events celebrate Shreveport-Bossier’s cherished holiday traditions and connect the area with a network of festive attractions across northern and central Louisiana, creating a shared holiday experience filled with lights, family-friendly events, and memorable moments for visitors from near and far.

Holidays on the Red is Shreveport-Bossier’s annual holiday celebration, showcasing a wide variety of family-friendly events that highlight the community’s unique traditions and holiday spirit. From dazzling light displays and festive markets to parades and performances, Holidays on the Red brings together the best of Shreveport-Bossier’s seasonal activities, creating memorable experiences for visitors and locals alike.

From late November through the New Year, visitors and locals can immerse themselves in the following holiday events:

 

  • A NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet – November 19, 2024

Enjoy an evening filled with world-class ballet, acrobatics, and stunning sets.

  • 50th Anniversary Les Boutiques de Noel – November 22-24, 2024

Shop for unique holiday gifts and visit Santa Land at the Shreveport Convention Center.

  • Christmas in Roseland – Nov. 29-Dec. 15 (Fri-Sun) & Dec. 16-23 (Daily)

Marvel at thousands of lights and enjoy a Christmas train and festive treats.

Take in holiday magic with Santa, Christmas treats, and the Snow Mermaid.

Enjoy a snow-themed interactive experience perfect for all ages.

A charming small-town parade celebrating the season’s spirit.

Delight in a fireworks show, live music, arts and crafts, and visits with Santa.

Celebrate with local parades and concerts as part of weekend festivities surrounding the Independence Bowl.

 

The Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights has been celebrating the season and connecting communities across northern and central Louisiana for over 30 years. The trail, which includes Shreveport-Bossier, Monroe-West Monroe, Natchitoches, Ruston, Minden, Alexandria/Pineville, and Logansport, offers families and visitors a series of festive events and dazzling light displays that capture the spirit of the holidays.

HOLIDAYS ON THE RED

Each destination along the Holiday Trail of Lights offers something truly unique. Natchitoches dazzles with its iconic holiday lights illuminating the historic downtown. Minden brings the season to life with its festive Christmas in Minden Festival. Monroe-West Monroe’s Candy Cane Lane boasts a magical mile-long drive through thousands of twinkling holiday lights. Logansport shines brightly with the world’s largest Christmas tree. Ruston kicks off the holidays with its lively and much-anticipated Kickoff to Christmas event. Alexandria/Pineville delights visitors with the enchanting Holiday Light Safari. Each destination puts on many more festive activities to discover and enjoy throughout the season.
