Mudbug Madness May 22-24, 2026
Celebrate the flavors, music, and culture of Louisiana at Mudbug Madness, one of the state’s largest Cajun festivals, returning to downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza during Memorial Day weekend. What began in 1984 as a small street festival has grown into a nationally recognized event featuring three days of entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities.
Festivalgoers can enjoy two stages of nonstop live music with more than 30 bands, featuring Cajun, Zydeco, country, blues, and regional favorites. Beyond the music, the festival offers boiled crawfish, local food vendors, art and craft booths, crawfish eating contests, and the “Kids on the Bayou” children’s area with interactive activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Admission is $10 for a single-day pass or $15 for a three-day pass, with free entry for children under 12 and military personnel with valid ID. The festival runs daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., making it a perfect way for visitors and conference attendees to experience the authentic energy and traditions of Northwest Louisiana.
