2024 Louisiana Team Trail Championship
The 2024 Louisiana Team Trail Championship Tournament sponsored by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission will be held March 14&15, 2025 on Black Bayou Lake in Hosston, LA. The top finishing 75% of the angler in points from the 2024 season will compete for a chance to win $15,000 for first place over the two-day tournament. This year will feature 35 teams to start on day one of the championship but will be condensed to the top 20 after the first day of competition. The weigh-in will be held both days at Robert L. Nance Park in Hosston, LA. Blast off will begin at safe light. It will be a family friendly event as crowds gather for the 3:00 weigh-in on both days.
Louisiana Team Trail is entering its fourth season and continues to grow across north Louisiana. The trail was born in the northeast part of the state but has grown each year to include more fisheries and anglers from the northwestern part of the state. Points are kept for each team in each tournament leading up to the team Anglers Of the Year (AOY). With that comes recognition with belts, the prize money they most assuredly earn and free entry into the following year’s competition.
There are some things that set Louisiana Team Trail apart from other tournament organizations, not the least of which is its foundation. It is organized by unpaid volunteers as officers of a non-profit organization. The operation of the trail is covered by sponsors and the volunteer board is completely unpaid. All team entry fees are paid back to the anglers in the winnings. As a result, over the last three years, Louisiana Team Trail has awarded more than $160,000 in overall winnings. There are no angles or hidden agendas. The purpose is simple, to promote friendly competition, high amateur prizes and growing the sport of amateur competitive bass fishing.
