Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana – The Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission with Visit Shreveport-Bossier, in partnership with the Brookshire Grocery Arena and the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), are proud to announce the 2025 State Wrestling Tournament, taking place on February 14-15, 2025. This year marks the first-ever LHSAA Girls’ Division I Tournament.
“Shreveport-Bossier is proud to host the 2025 State Wrestling Tournament,” said Sara Nelms, Director of Sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission with Visit Shreveport-Bossier. “We are excited to welcome this event back for another year at the Brookshire Grocery Arena, and we are especially honored to host the inaugural girls’ division.”
The LHSAA oversees high school wrestling competitions across the state, culminating in the annual State Wrestling Tournament. There will be around 1200 student athletes participating and 250 coaches in Shreveport-Bossier for the State Wrestling Tournament. The addition of the Girls’ Division I not only highlights the growing recognition of female athletes in the sport, but also increases visitor traffic, generating a significant economic impact for our community.
