2026 70 Multi-State Invitational Tournament
The Northwest La Community Tennis Association (NWLACTA) has been awarded the 70 State Tournament for over 8+ years. With oversight and hard marketing work from our USTA Louisiana Tennis Association (LTA) Director of Adult Leagues, Marty Engle, and our local CTA board, Bossier Tennis Center (BTC), Bossier Ladies Tennis (BLT), volunteers, and players, it became a Multi-State Invitation in 2022 and has grown from 80 players, 9 teams in 2022 to a record 275 players for this upcoming weekend. 31 total teams will participate from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana teams.
The Director of Adult Leagues, NWLACTA, and BTC work closely together with the BLT, Sports Commission, and Bossier Parks & Recreation to ensure this tournament is always a great success. From a fantastic player party on Thursday evening including delicious local meals (Mae & Co, Cascio’s, Mario’s), exciting bingo with prizes to fantastic tournament execution from the Tournament Director, Chair, Site Coordinators, and many volunteers, this tournament continues to grow. The 70 & Over Tournament received the prestigious LTA State Team Tennis Event in 2024.
The tournament players always mentioned the beautiful facilities, well ran event, welcoming staff and volunteers, events, food, hospitality, and the availability of other activities in the area as reasons for coming to this tournament, and it is expected to continue to grow each year.
The Tournament will begin Friday March 20th @ 8am – approximately 6pm, repeat Saturday and Sunday until early afternoon. Information can be found in the https://www.visitshreveportbossier.org/events/ , is FREE admission so come out and watch some great tennis over the weekend.
