318 MLK DreamFest 2026 Expands to a Two-Weekend Celebration Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Shreveport-Bossier, LA – Visit Shreveport-Bossier, in collaboration with Dream Keepers Alliance, Krewe of Harambee, Krewe of Sobek, the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, and community partners, proudly announces the return of 318 MLK DreamFest 2026, a collective celebration honoring the life, work, and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural festival, 318 MLK DreamFest 2026 expands to a 10-day, two-weekend experience running January 15–24, 2026. The festival will feature a powerful mix of performances, parades, exhibits, service opportunities, and cultural events that unite residents and visitors in the spirit of Dr. King’s dream for equality, economic empowerment, and community.
“318 MLK DreamFest continues to grow as a Civil Rights Destination event for residents and visitors alike,” said Stacy Brown, President & CEO, Visit Shreveport-Bossier. “This expanded festival not only commemorates Dr. King’s dream but also inspires residents and tourists to act, serve, and uplift their communities.”
This year’s festival includes the inaugural Voices of the Dream Choir Competition, January 16-17, 2026. This dynamic showcase of regional choir talent will celebrate Dr. King’s legacy through harmony as a cornerstone of hope and unity. Choirs from across the region are invited to lift their voices in harmony and community.
