For many people, one of the biggest stressors of the holiday season is the extensive shopping that inevitably has to happen. Between the long lines and inflated prices, it’s understandable how it can ruin the holiday spirit for some people. However, Shreveport-Bossier has some exciting events that will not only make holiday shopping easier, but also make it fun.
From Nov. 21-Nov. 23, Les Boutiques de Noel will fill the Shreveport Convention Center with all things Christmas to create this one-stop holiday shopping experience. For 45 years, merchants from all over Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas have come to Shreveport-Bossier with a variety of holiday gifts and decorations to sell. Les Boutiques de Noel is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for a one-day shopping pass and $20 for a three-day shopping pass. All proceeds benefit the Shreveport Opera.
From Nov. 29-Dec. 31, don’t miss the Boardwalk Blizzard at Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets. Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets houses stores such as Bass Pro Shops, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bath & Body Works, Levi’s Outlet Store, and more. Throughout the day, shoppers will get to experience a snow flurry as part of the holiday celebrations. Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Boardwalk Blizzard takes place at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; 12:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday: and 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Sunday.
From Nov. 29-Dec. 22, Le Marché de Noel is bringing the joy of European Christmas markets to Shreveport-Bossier behind the Shreveport Aquarium. Inspired by German Christkindlemarkets, this enchanting open-air Christmas market offers a whimsical shopping experience. Shop for handmade gifts, taste local food, sip on warm drinks, and enjoy live entertainment on the banks of the Red River. Le Marché de Noel is open from 12-9 p.m., Fridays and 12-9 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Admission to Le Marché de Noel is free.
On Nov. 30, support local businesses at Small Business Saturday in Downtown Shreveport. Businesses in Downtown Shreveport like The Agora Borealis and Shreve Towne Studio will have special discounts and events to help you find a gift for everyone on your Christmas list. After getting your holiday shopping done, stop by downtown restaurants such as Retro Downtown Café or Nicky’s Mexican Restaurant for exclusive food and drink specials. Then, head to the East Bank District for their Shop Small Market and Golf Cart Parade. Small Business Saturday Downtown is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
On Dec. 6, Tinsel returns to Shreveport-Bossier. This VIP shopping experience allows shoppers a chance to visit popular stores along Line Avenue after their usual hours. Throughout the night, Tinsel shoppers are chauffeured to each store and offered complimentary food, drinks, entertainment, and exclusive discounts. The Tinsel Afterparty finishes the night with drink specials and good music. Tinsel is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30.
