Shreveport-Bossier announces 2026 Mardi Gras dates, season to begin in January

Shreveport-Bossier, LA– Mardi Gras parade season in Shreveport-Bossier will begin in mid-January in 2026, launching with the week-long MLK DreamFest, scheduled for Jan. 15–24, followed by weeks of parades and events leading up to Fat Tuesday on Feb. 17, 2026.

 

MLK DreamFest, a weeklong celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will serve as the official kickoff to the region’s Mardi Gras season. Events include cultural programming, community gatherings, and entertainment held throughout Shreveport-Bossier.
