Super Retriever Series Celebrates 5 Years in Shreveport-Bossier with 2025 Crown Championship!
Shreveport-Bossier, LA — The Super Retriever Series (SRS) is proud to return to Shreveport-Bossier City for the fifth consecutive year, bringing with it the most elite competition in Retriever Trials and high-flying Dock Dog action. The 2025 SRS Crown Championship will once again highlight the finest sporting dogs and handlers in the nation—and thanks to our new Presenting Sponsor, Purina Pro Plan, fans can expect the most exciting year yet.
The Crown Championship Retriever Trials will take place October 3 - 8, with the location this year to start out at Camp Minden. The week kicks off with the “Big Hats & Bowties” Owners Social followed by the Banquet, presented by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, on the evening of October 2nd. This signature event brings the SRS community together to celebrate the season, the competitors, and the dogs that make it all possible.
The SRS Super Dock will follow the week after, held October 10–12 at the Louisiana Boardwalk behind Bass Pro Shops. On Saturday, October 11, families are invited to attend the popular Pet Palooza—a full afternoon of vendors, food trucks, costume contests, pet adoptions, giveaways, and more.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating our fifth year in Shreveport-Bossier,” said Shannon Nardi, Producer of the Super Retriever Series. “This event has grown each year, and the community has embraced us in a way that feels like home. From the high-stakes of the SRS Retriever trials to the family-friendly fun on the SRS Super Dock, this is a week that showcases everything we love about the sporting dog world.”
The Retriever Trials bring together top Open and Amateur teams from across the country to compete in a hybrid format that includes hunt tests, field trials, and real-life hunting scenarios known as Hunt Savvy. It’s a demanding test of precision, teamwork, and trust.
Meanwhile, the Super Dock competition offers thrilling head-to-head events including Super Fly, Super V, and the Raider Run—SRS’s version of track and field for dogs with long jumps, high jumps, and timed sprints.
“As a sports destination, Shreveport-Bossier City is proud to continue hosting the Super Retriever Series,” said Sara Nelms, Director of Sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. “Five years of partnership with SRS has brought incredible energy to our city and showcased the best of our outdoor sporting community. We’re excited to welcome back the competitors, their fans, and their four-legged athletes.”
All events are free and open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the action up close. For those unable to attend in person, daily livestreams of the Retriever Trials will be broadcast starting Friday, October 3, on the Super Retriever Series YouTube channel. A full event schedule will be available at www.superretrieverseries.com and on all SRS social media.
With over $100,000 in cash and prizes, the stakes couldn’t be higher. But at its core, the Crown Championship remains a celebration of the bond between dog and handler—and the passion that fuels this community.
Join us in Shreveport-Bossier City this October for the 2025 Super Retriever Series Crown Championship and help us celebrate five amazing years in Louisiana’s sportsman’s paradise.
