SUPER RETRIEVER SERIES PRESENTED BY PURINA PRO PLAN RETURNS TO SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER FOR THE 2026 CROWN CHAMPIONSHIP
Shreveport-Bossier, LA — In partnership with the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission Visit Shreveport-Bossier, the nation’s top retrievers and handlers are headed back to northwest Louisiana as the Super Retriever Series Presented by Purina Pro Plan, and 2026 SRS Crown Championship return for the sixth year on October 23 through November 5, 2026.
Bringing together elite retriever competition, championship-level dog and handler teams, and the high-flying action of the SRS Super Dock, Crown Week has become a signature fall sporting event in Shreveport-Bossier and the culmination of the Super Retriever Series season.
“We are proud to welcome the Super Retriever Series back to Shreveport-Bossier for a sixth year,” said Sara Nelms, Director of Sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. “The Crown Championship brings competitors and fans from across the country to our community while showcasing the outdoor sporting abilities of our destination that make our community such a natural home for this event.”
SRS SUPER DOCK KICKS OFF THE ACTION OCTOBER 23–25
The 2026 SRS Crown Championship festivities get underway October 23–25 as the SRS Super Dock takes over the Louisiana Boardwalk behind Bass Pro Shops, bringing three days of high-flying, fast-paced canine competition to Shreveport-Bossier.
This year’s field is expected to feature some of the best canine athletes in the world, giving spectators an up-close look at dogs capable of extraordinary distance, height and speed. The SRS Super Dock features three championship events: Super Fly, the long-jump competition; Super V, where dogs soar to incredible heights; and the Raider Run, a head-to-head timed sprint that showcases pure canine speed and athleticism.
On Saturday, October 24, families are invited to join SRS for Pet Palooza, turning the Louisiana Boardwalk into a full day of four-legged fun. The event will feature vendors, food trucks, pet activities, pet adoptions, giveaways and more — all surrounding the excitement of SRS Super Dock competition.
Following Super Dock weekend, attention turns to the retrievers as the nation’s top SRS teams arrive in Shreveport-Bossier for the 2026 SRS Crown Championship Retriever Trials. The retriever celebration officially begins Thursday, October 29, with the annual “Big Hats & Bowties” Owners Social and Crown Championship Banquet, presented by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission.
Then, on Friday, October 30, the competition begins as the country’s top qualified Open and Amateur retriever teams take to the field in pursuit of one of the sport’s most coveted titles — SRS Crown Champion.

SRS Crown Championship events are free and open to the public, giving spectators the opportunity to see some of the nation's most accomplished retrievers compete up close.
Fans across the country can follow the Retriever Trials through daily SRS Crown Championship livestream coverage on the Super Retriever Series YouTube channel, featuring competition, scores, interviews and stories from throughout Crown Week. Select SRS Crown Championship programming will also air on WaypointTV.com, giving fans even more opportunities to follow the action throughout the championship.
