The celebration kicks off on Saturday, March 15, with the 3rd Annual 318 Day Festival at Caddo Common Park. This event brings live music, food, art, and local businesses together for a day of community celebration. From 1 - 7 PM, attendees can enjoy performances by talented musicians, including Ouro Boar, Chaynler Joie, Edi Kí, GoDJ Yoshi, Port City All Star Band, and Shreveport Bone Society. Food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious local eats, while craft vendors and visual artists showcase their work, making this a vibrant, interactive way to celebrate all the wonderful things about Shreveport-Bossier.

On Sunday, March 16, the festivities continue with the 318 Day Food Fest near the Municipal Auditorium, one of Shreveport-Bossier's destinations with deep music history. This family-friendly event is great for foodies and will feature a variety of food vendors from across the 318 area code. The festival will highlight the rich and diverse culinary scene of Northwest Louisiana. It's the perfect opportunity to taste some of the best local flavors while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Later that evening, on March 16, the PurpleREIGN Fashion Show takes center stage at Vine Books & Vinyl on Texas Street. Doors open at 6 PM, with a pre-show from 6 - 7 PM, leading to a stunning display of creativity and style at 7 PM. Featuring designs by Latasha V. Henderson, the show highlights bold fashion statements and the unique talent of Shreveport-Bossier’s designers. As an added bonus, fashion show ticket holders receive free admission to the After Lounge Party!
Also on March 16, The Robinson Film Center will feature a special screening of a film shot in Shreveport and surrounding areas. This event showcases the region’s growing presence in the film industry and its beautiful landscapes, offering a unique cinematic experience.
