Ahhhh……summer break, you’re back and we’ve missed you so!

Welcome to the sweltering heat that beckons you toward the pool, short nights filled with music and memories and the smell of freedom. And with summer comes a whole lot of Pride. Since May of 2022 we’ve been celebrating June as Shreveport’s OFFICIAL Pride Month going on two years and how sweet is that? Thanks Shreveport City Council.

Each year we do our best to capture the essence of Shreveport’s Pride, covering all the activities you can be excited to experience whether you’re looking to kick up a little dust on the dancefloor or be enraptured by the vibrancy of city nightlife, we have a little of it all here in this roundup.

Know of something we missed that’s coming up? Give me a shout at stevenknightbiz@gmail.com and we’ll certainly make sure your community event has its proper spotlight.

Community and Nonprofit

Pride is all about community and celebrating the diverse perspectives and lived experiences of each person. We recognize it as a time to reflect on the hardships of culture bearers and activists who fought many a hard battle to ensure the security of basic rights for the LGBTQIA+ community. So, let’s celebrate together the ability to connect, socialize and publicly live with pride through these community events that encourage us to loudly live our truth and uplift one another.
