The Nation's Top Sporting Dogs are Coming to Shreveport-Bossier

Do you love dogs? Do you love unique sporting events? This weekend and next in Shreveport-Bossier, visitors can experience the Super Retriever Series Crown Championship! For the fifth consecutive year, the nation's top dogs compete in various retriever trials and dock diving at the Louisiana Boardwalk behind Bass Pro Shops, and Camp Minden for the Crown Championship title. There is also an outdoor market accompanied by a “Paw-some Pairs” costume competition with dogs and their owners, at Pet Palooza!

Two Weekends of Retriever Trials and Dock Diving

• The event kicks off with the “Big Hats & Bowties” owners social, held at LIVE! Casino & Hotel Louisiana on October 2.
• Then, the Retriever Trials begin October 3–8 at Camp Minden, where top dogs and handlers will be tested in hunting-style scenarios!
• The action then moves to the Louisiana Boardwalk, where the SRS Super Dock will take place October 10–12 behind Bass Pro Shops, featuring long jumps, high jumps, and speed runs.

Paw-Some Pet Fashion Show & Outdoor Market

At the same time as the Dock Diving Championship, Saturday, October 11, is Pet Palooza! From 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Louisiana Boardwalk, spectators can enjoy this pet-focused outdoor market, allowing visitors to shop pet-themed goodies, get free rabies vaccines on site, or adopt a pet on the spot, all while getting close and personal with some of the nation's top sporting dogs! • Free rabies vaccinations

Pet Palooza also coincides with the Bossier City Makers Fair, an outdoor market with over 150 vendors, creating a full day of shopping, food, and family fun along the riverfront!
