318 MLK DreamFest returns in 2026 with an expanded, two-weekend celebration honoring the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Building on the success of its inaugural year, the festival now spans 10 days of cultural experiences, community engagement, and meaningful moments that bring residents and visitors together.

Presented by Visit Shreveport-Bossier in collaboration with Dream Keepers Alliance, Krewe of Harambee, Krewe of Sobek, the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, and community partners, DreamFest continues to grow as a signature Civil Rights destination event for the region.

Voices of the Dream Choir Competition

New for 2026, the Voices of the Dream Choir Competition takes place January 16–17, 2026, spotlighting regional choir talent in a powerful celebration of music, harmony, and hope.

Choirs from across the region are invited to lift their voices in tribute to Dr. King’s legacy, showcasing how music continues to inspire unity and purpose across generations.
