The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau launched the second edition of their quarterly Shreveport-Bossier Travel Magazine on Thursday, April 1. This digital publication highlights the area’s entertainment industry by telling the compelling stories of locals and welcoming nightlife back into play after entering phase three of COVID-19 guidelines. Fat Calf Brasserie Announced All-New Brunch Menu and Restaurant Hours

On March 14, Fat Calf Brasserie announced that their Saturday lunch menu will transition into a brunch menu beginning Saturday, March 27. The menu consists of deviled eggs, beignets, omelets, eggs Benedict, desserts, cocktails and more. Guests can enjoy a French-inspired brunch by dining indoors, on the patio or in the garden area. Fat Calf Brasserie is now open Tuesday-Friday, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., and on Saturday, 11 a.m.-2p.m., and 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Live music will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Visit for more information.

Flames Mediterranean Restaurant Opens in Ashley Ridge Center

Located in the former Zocolo’s restaurant, Flames Mediterranean Restaurant has expanded and refurbished the building to welcome Mediterranean flavors to the area in a family-friendly, upscale atmosphere. Downtown Shreveport Welcomes the New Black Girl Magic Pop-Up Museum

The Black Girl Magic Museum is an interactive, educational pop-up exhibit located inside The Standard Loft Apartments in downtown Shreveport. It features colorful murals, Instagrammable backgrounds, abstract artwork, and more from local and regional artists. The Black Girl Magic Museum is open now through July 30 on Thursday, 3p.m.-8 p.m., Friday, 12 p.m.-8p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tickets are $15-$25. Enter the Logan Mansion with New Prohibition Club Membership
